Buhari’s actions throwing Nigeria into anarchy, Ezekwesili slams DSS
A former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has knocked the Department of State Services for saying the critics of the President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), are planning to disintegrate Nigeria.
According to her, nobody seeks to throw Nigeria into anarchy than Buhari. “DSS must direct this to @MBuhari, the @NGRPresident, who is their Direct Supervisor. Nobody else in Nigeria today seeks to throw Nigeria into anarchy than a President whose actions and inactions daily dig Nigeria deeper into disintegration. DSS, please send your boss a query.”
The PUNCH had earlier reported that the secret police on Sunday, described Buhari’s critics as misguided elements and accused them of threatening the government, sovereignty, and corporate existence of the country.

The Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), Fr Ejike Mbaka, has said that disaster was lurking in Nigeria. He also warned clerics in the country not to make themselves an instrument of disaster by joining anybody to protect those killing the poor. The controversial Catholic priest stated this while delivering his Sunday homily in a video which had gone viral.
Mbaka further stated that no amount of the blocking of the National Assembly and security in Aso Rock Villa would secure the country “if they don’t take care of youths and give them jobs, and address all these issues the Holy Spirit raised on that Wednesday.”

FG prepares 400 suspected Boko Haram sponsors, BDC operators’ charges
The Federal Government is set to arraign about 400 alleged Boko Haram sponsors and financiers arrested in a nationwide operation last month.
The businessmen, who included bureau de change operators, were arrested in Kano, Borno, Abuja, Lagos, Sokoto, Adamawa, Kaduna and Zamfara.
The PUNCH gathered on Monday that criminal charges bordering on terrorism were already being prepared against them as investigations continued into their nefarious activities. The arrest of the men was sequel to the jailing of six Nigerians in the United Arab Emirates over allegations of terrorism financing.
Army to summon Ondo lawyer alleging camping of 3,000 Fulani
A legal practitioner, Mr Wale Odusola, has said there are about 3,000 Fulani men taking shelter inside the Okitipupa Army Barrack in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Odusola stated this barely 24 hours after the state government returned 45 northern youths, who were apprehended by the men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, to their home towns.
Odusola posted his allegation on his Facebook page on Sunday, adding that his independent findings showed that the Fulani men had been given open land in the barracks to build shelters. “I have carried out my independent findings and I find the following as facts and true; that Hausas and Fulanis numbering over 3,000 are occupying the army barracks land and built houses there where they live. That the Fulanis/Hausas that we saw four days ago who were arrested and transported to Akure by Amotekun, didn’t come that day, but have been coming in batches before that day. That as of yesterday (Saturday), another set came and are already in the army barracks.
Over 40 million members registered, says APC
The Secretary of the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, on Monday, said the party now has over 40 million registered members.
Akpanudoedehe said this when the party’s National Chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni , received some non-career ambassadors designate at the APC National Secretariat, in Abuja.
He said, “We are blessed to have focused and gentle Chairman. When he came on board, we lost ground. Under his leadership we have regained what we lost and gained more. We had a membership strength of 12 million. I want to inform you your Excellencies, under his leadership the APC has moved to about 40 something million today.
