Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Monday says that the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, should be held responsible if he is assassinated.
Ortom who spoke during a press conference in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, said that it was disheartening to hear Governor Mohammed defend foreign armed herders who have “killed many Nigerians and inflicted pains on several communities across the country”.
He noted that Nigerians would be compelled to believe that the Bauchi governor is part of a conspiracy to wipe them out.
Governor Ortom further called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare armed herders as terrorists and proscribe their group, adding that any law abiding Nigerian irrespective of tribe affiliation could reside and do business in Benue State.
