APC government has turned Imo State into a terror zone, theatre of war and conflict – PDP

Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has warned two chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governor Hope Uzodinma and ex-Governor Rochas Okorocha, not to turn Imo State into a theatre of war.

The statetment came following clash between the supporters of Okorocha and Uzodinma over the sealing of his wife’s Royal Spring Palm Estate Hotel, Akachi.

According to reports, two persons were killed in the clash on Sunday before the state government led police operatives to arrest Okorocha and his aides.

Reacting to the development the spokesman of the Imo PDP, Ogubundu Nwadike, said it was utterly disgusting that the APC government in the state has turned Imo into a terror zone.

“The recent violence perpetrated by supporters of Senator Rochas Okorocha and Governor Hope Uzodinma has stirred up tension and apprehension in the state thereby toppling the atmosphere of saturated peace and tranquillity.

“It is indeed, highly despicable that under the present administration, Imo State which used to be the centre and cynosure of public peace and orderliness has turned into a jungle of terror where hooliganism, rascality, thuggery and abuse of the dignity of human peace have become the order of the day,” the party stated.
