Northern Governors on Monday visited Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State over the recent clash between Hausa’s and Yoruba’s at Shasa area of Ibadan.
The governors who visited the Oyo State Governor were; Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Abubakar Bello (Niger) and Bello Matawalle (Zamfara).
They arrived ibadan around 7:pm and then proceeded into a closed-door meeting.
Last week, there was a clash between the Yoruba’s and the Hausa at the Shasa market in Ibadan, the state capital.
According to reports, the clash led to the death of about 20 persons and the displacement of about 5,000 others.
Many are currently fleeing from the South-West back to the north because of the tension.
The meeting between the Governors at the Oyo State Government House was to discuss the strategies the administration is putting in place to maintain peaceful co-existence of all residents of Oyo State.
