Insecurity: NAF Floats ‘Exercise Taimako Yazo’ In Kaduna

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has floated an exercise on a joint Combat Search And Rescue (CSAR) comprising special forces and air police K-9 operations code named ‘Exercise Taimako Yazo’ meaning ‘Help has Come’ in Kaduna.

Daily Trust gathered that the exercise demonstration which took place at Rijana on the Abuja- Kaduna Highway is expected to help address security challenges along that axis.

Speaking as the special guest of honor at the occasion Saturday in Kaduna, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar, said the overall desire of the Airforce is to ensure that the personnel are trained and equipped to maintain very high level of combat readiness and operational effectiveness.

Why God Spared My Life Amid COVID-19 – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Saturday said that God spared his life amid the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic so that he would serve Him and humanity more.

He equally asked Nigerians who survived COVID-19 and witnessed the New Year celebration to be appreciative and thank God for his mercies.

He spoke at the second annual thanksgiving service of the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

20 Years After, Alaafin, Soun End Rift, Sue For Peace

Twenty years after they started having misunderstanding, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi and the Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade have reconciled and reunited.

The duo called on Nigerians to embrace peace and harmony in a bid to move the country forward.

The Alaafin, who arrived the expansive Ogbomoso palace alongside his wives, Ayaba Memunat and Folasade Saturday, were ushered into the inner chamber of the wife of the Soun, Ayaba Olaronke Oyewumi.
