2023 Presidency: Tinubu’s political movement kicks-off, canvas support for the APC National Leader

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC National Leader and President Muhammadu Buhari

A political movement (BAT 23), has kicked off in Abuja with the aim of canvassing support for the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ahead of the 2023 Presidential Election.

Tinubu is expected to contest and secured the 2023 presidential ticket of the APC.

After President Buhari’s tenure, the APC is expected to shift the candidacy of the party to the South, since Buhari who would have completed his maximum eight years tenure is from the north.

Tinubu who also reportedly wants to become president is expected to be compensated with the APC ticket for 2023. Many chieftain in the party are however advocating for the nullification of the zoning arrangement, saying competence should come ahead of zoning instead.

The group BAT 23 apparently meaning Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023, is led by Umar Inusa.

Speaking during the flag-off in Abuja, Inusa noted that the movement consisted of Tinubu’s supporters across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He described Tinubu as a highly experienced leader with the required political tact to take over from where President Muhammadu Buhari would stop in 2023.

“Tinubu is a leader who transforms nothing into something and feeds his people from the riches of what has been so transformed.

“In his time as Lagos state governor, staff salaries, developmental projects, philanthropic activities never stopped.

“Now, think about the bigger picture here.

“If he did that in Lagos and we never heard Lagos state going into recession at the time, what if he had the whole country struggling to manage her abundant resources?

“Let us ponder upon that.

“That is the man of calibre and pedigree, a charismatic and selfless leader we pray to canvass support to pilot the affairs of this nation and take it to the promised land,” he added.
