No Rift Between Tambuwal, Bafarawa – Sokoto PDP Chair

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, has denied any rift within its ranks, insisting that the party is intact in the state.

There was a speculation that the former governor of the state, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, had, during the stakeholders meeting of the party on Monday, accused some loyalists of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of trying to edge out his supporters ahead of the forthcoming local government and state congresses of the party.

Speaking to Daily Trust, the state party chairman said there was no rift whatsoever between Governor Tambuwal and his predecessor. Milgoma said the party was still intact and devoid of any internal wrangling.

Zoning Of Presidency To South Not In Dispute — APC Chieftain

Aformer publicity secretary of the APC in Lagos, Joe Igbokwe, Tuesday, said rotational presidency would continue to operate in the country until Nigeria becomes “a nation.”

He insisted that power must return to the south in 2023 for peace and stability to reign in the country.

Igbokwe, who is the apex leader of Ndigbo APC in Lagos, spoke on the sidelines of the conferment of award of excellent leadership on him by the Youth Wing of Ndigbo APC. According to him, zoning is an unwritten constitution which would subsist until Nigeria truly becomes a united nation.

FG Increases Petrol Price To N151.56

The Federal Government has again increased the pump price of petrol to N151.56 per litre, up from N149, the third increase in three months.

A statement by the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC on Wednesday informed the depots owners of the increase.

In the statement signed by PPMC Lead Sales- Ibadan Depot D.O Abalaka, the agency said : “Please be informed that a new product price adjustment has been effected on our payment platform. To this end, the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is now one hundred and fifty-one naira, fifty-six kobo (N151.56k) per litre.”

Bauchi Assembly Declares Murdered Lawmaker’s Seat Vacant

Bauchi State House of Assembly has declared the seat of the late member representing Dass Constituency, Musa Mante Baraza, vacant.

This is coming three weeks after he was murdered by gunmen.

On August 14, 2020, the lawmaker was killed by armed men, while two of his wives and daughter were kidnapped. The police later rescued the wives and one-year-old daughter.

Zamfara APC Crisis: Buni Committee Orders Expulsion Of Marafa Faction Chair

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee led by Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has ordered the expulsion of Alhaji Sirajo Garba from the party.

Garba is chairman of the Senator Kabir Marafa’s faction of the APC in Zamfara State.

A letter dated August 26, 2020, addressed to the Zamfara State chairman of the party signed by the APC National Secretary, Sen. John J. Akpanudoedehe, said Garba flouted the directive of the National Executive Committee (NEC).
