It’s game over for Oshiomhole as APC dissolve National Working Committee

Adams Oshiomhole, the APC National Chairman

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissolved its National Working Committee.

The decision to dissolve the NWC was reached at today’s National Executive Council meeting.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad, revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari had in the meeting recommended that the NWC be dissolved.

“Following the recommendation of President Muhammadu Buhari, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been dissolved,” he tweeted.

This development brings an end to Adams Oshiomhole’s resign as APC National Chairman.

Naija Buzz News reported how Oshiomhole was suspended by the High Court in Abuja and how the Court of Appeal upheld the ruling of the High Court.

His suspension came immediately after the Oshiomhole-led NWC disqualified Governor Godwin Obaseki from contesting the APC Governorship Primary.

The NWC immediately appointed Senator Abiola Ajimobi to act as Chairman of the APC following Oshiomhole’s sack. But the court particularly ordered that Victor Giadom take over as APC chairman for 2 weeks pending the convening of NEC meeting.

The Ajimobi-led APC which is loyal to Oshiomhole and the Giadom-led APC which has the court backing has been fighting for the supremacy of the party since Oshiomhole’s sacking.

The Ajimobi-led APC went ahead in an attempt to silence Giadom, suspended him. The NWC also described the NEC meeting organized by Giadom as illegal because he was not part of the NWC.

They never knew the meeting would even bring an end to their reign.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, was inaugurated as the Chairman of the APC Caretaker Committee/extraordinary convention committee.
