Man who advertised Nigerian woman for sale in Lebanon arrested by the Lebanese Government

Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, has announced that Wael Jerro, the Lebanese man who advertised a 30-year-old Nigerian woman for sale of Facebook, has been arrested by the Government of Lebanon.

“The Lebanese Government just announced the arrest of Mr. Wael Jerro for onward prosecution against criminal sales of a human, a young Nigerian girl,” Dabiri said.

She noted that the Lebanese government would prosecute Jerro for human trafficking.

Naija Buzz News reported how Jerro auctioned the Nigerian woman, identified as Peace Busari, from Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, for sale on a Facebook group.
