The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control this morning confirmed another three new CoronaVirus cases in Lagos.
“On the 22nd of March 2020, three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria. Till date, 25 cases have been confirmed, two cases have been discharged and there has been no death from COVID-19 in Nigeria
“All three new cases are in Lagos State. They are being treated at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba,” NCDC stated his morning on its website.
The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, in a statement on Saturday confirmed 3 new cases in Abuja and 7 new cases in Lagos, bringing the cases to 22 in the nation.
However, the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, confirmed a new CoronaVirus case in the state, bringing the total case in Nigeria to 23.
“The Ministry of Health has confirmed 10 new cases of the coronavirus disease in Nigeria; three new cases in the Federal Capital Territory and seven new cases in Lagos State. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 22.
“The three cases in the Federal Capital Territory are being treated at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada while the seven new cases in Lagos are being treated at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba. All the 10 new cases have mild to moderate symptoms and are currently receiving treatment.”
“The Port Health Services of the Federal Ministry of Health has heightened screening at all air, land and sea points of entry into Nigeria and adapted the protocols to reflect the travel guidance issued by the Presidential Task Force on the Control of Coronavirus.”
