Oshiomhole must come back to Edo State and declare support for Governor Obaseki for us to be on same page politically – Deputy Governor Shuaibu

Governor Godwin Obaseki and his predecessor, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole

Philip Shuaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, says that Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), must apologies if he wants to truly reconcile with the Edo State APC.

Shuaibu who is Oshiomhole political god-son stated this on Tuesday while speaking to journalists in Abuja.

Naija Buzz News had reported how Shuaibu after the Progressives Governors Forum meeting in Abuja noted that a petition for the arrest and prosecution of Oshiomhole had been submitted to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi.

“The only condition for the two of us to be on the same page politically is for him (referring to Oshiomhole) to come back to Edo State as a father and say, what has happened is in the past; I believe now Governor Obaseki has taken governance to the next level and for all of us to come back together and vote him for the second term.

“When he does that, I will now be on the same page with him politically.”

Shuaibu had noted that Oshiomhole ignores Governor Godwin Obaseki’s ban on political gathering in the state, saying that no rally should hold in Edo State without the governor’s permission.

“You heard from Comrade Oshiomhole that the governor permitted other parties to hold rally but refused him.

“APC rally can only hold in Edo State with the approval of the governor, who is the leader of the party in the state. The question is, will Oshiomhole go to Kano, Katsina or Imo or any APC state without the approval of the governors?” Shuaibu asked.
