Federal Government officials budgets over N3billion on sporting activities in 2020

Federal Government officials including the Office of the President and Vice President budgeted N3.4billion on games and inter-agency sport competitions in the 2020 budget submitted to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari.

For instance; the State House budgeted N30.1million for sporting activities, while the Office of the VP budgeted N5.4million.

The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation budgeted N16.7million.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports Development budgeted N2.3billion for sporting activities.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Ministry of Defence budgeted, N24.7million and N108.8million respectively.

The Federal Road Safety Corps budgeted N34.3million for its sporting activities.

The Ministries of Education, Health, Mines & Steel, Niger Delta, Environment, Interior, Justice, Water Resources, Women Affairs, Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development, and Works & Housing budgeted; N145million, N31.3million, N2.6million, N109.6mllion, N16.8million, N120million, N20million, N8.7million, N4.2million, N3.2million and N22million respectively.

Other agencies like the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission budgeted N5.5million and N2million respectively.

The Fiscal Responsibility Commission (N1.1million), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (N6.9million), the Code of Conduct Bureau (N2.04million).
