N3.327billion has been budgeted for President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo foreign and local trips in 2020.
The figure was contained in the 2020 Appropriation Bill the president presented to the National Assembly on Tuesday. N1billion and N301.03million was budgeted for Buhari and Osinbajo’s foreign and local trips respectively in 2019. In 2020 N2.526billion and N801million were budgeted for the president and his vice respectively in the 2020 budget.
Also, N149million was budgeted for foodstuffs and catering material for President Buhari and VP Osinbajo. N98.3million for Buhari and N50.88million for Osinbajo. Another N43.916million was budgeted for refreshment and meal. N25.652million for Buhari and N18.264million for Osinbajo.
N135.668million was also separately budgeted for refreshment and meal in the budget of the State House Headquarters.
N184.438million was budgeted for Buhari and Osinbajo’s sitting allowance (N164.176million for Buhari and N20.262million for Osinbajo). Another N478.313million was budgeted for sitting allowance in the budget of the State House Headquarters.
N526.234million was allocated for phased replacement of vehicles, spares and tyres in the presidential, security escort and State House operational fleets.
Over N91million was budgeted for the purchase of tyres for the presidential vehicles, including the bulletproof vehicles and others. While N32.199million, N32.5million and N45.4million were budget for fuel and lubricants, wildlife conservation, and sewage charges respectively.
