Nigerian Government pays P&ID £250,000

The Nigerian Government has reportedly paid £250,000 to Process and Industrial Developments Limited as running costs in the $9.6billion asset seizure legal battle.

EFCC raided Zamfara INEC office, found over N65million cash

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday raided the Zamfara office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and took away four bags of money.

The EFCC operatives from the Sokoto zonal command who raided the office for over two hours took away documents and over N65,548,000 found in the office.

Nigeria working towards introducing visa-on-arrival – FG

Geoffrey Onyeama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Wednesday revealed that the Federal Government was working towards the adoption of visa on arrival as part of the policy of Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria.

“On line applications will facilitate that but it is still work in progress,” the miniter said.

Man who sleeps with his 4 daughters says God approved his action

Bassey Archibong, 64, has been arraigned before Chief Magistrate Mrs. F.A. Azeez of the Magistrates Court in Ikorodu for sleeping with four of his daughters (aged between 12 – 20) since 2016.

He denies them food whenever they refuse to allow him, saying that his action was approved by God, referring to Lot in the Bible who had sexual relationship with his daughters, saying that God did not punish him.

Simon confessed to killing female naval commander in Jaji

The Nigeria Police on Wednesday paraded Bernard Simon, the man who allegedly killed Oluwayemisi Ogundana, a female Naval Commander, around Jaji area of Kaduna State.

36 year old Simon who did not deny the crime revealed that he sneaked into her home at Jaji Military Cantonment where he hit her with an iron rod on the head.

“I killed her because she was cheating us in the school. I am a teacher in the school and she was cheating us. I killed her to set the whole staff of the school free from her,” he said. Read more
