EFCC raided Zamfara INEC office, found over N60million cash

EFCC raided Zamfara INEC office

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday raided the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and took away four bags of money.

The anti-graft stormed the INEC office in Gusau following the non payment of allowances of ad hoc staff who participated in the 2019 general elections. The Zamfara INEC was petitioned by Abdullahi Nasiru, one of the ad hoc staff, who said that adhoc staff who worked for the commission in the general elections were shortchanged by over N80million.

The EFCC operatives from the Sokoto zonal command who raided the office for over two hours took away documents and over N65,548,000 found in the office.
