Army orders North-East residents to carry valid ID
The Nigerian Army in Maiduguri, Borno State, has begun a new exercise against insurgency in the region.
The Operation Positive Identification in the North-East region is aimed at fishing out Boko Haram terrorists who are hiding in communities in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States.
The Army noted that residents of the North-East region must carry a valid means of identification (which includes; National Identification Card, Voter Registration Card, Driving Licence, International Passport) in the states.
Buhari’s silence over Osinbajo’s persecution by the cabal is hypocritical – MASSOB says
The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has warned President Muhammadu Buhari to stop maltreating Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
According to MASSOB, the plot against Osinbajo by who they described as vicious Fulani cabals, were calculated to suppress Christians in Nigeria.
“The unconstitutional stripping of Prof. Yemi Osibanjo’s official attributes attached to the office of the Vice President of the Federation is continuous humiliation of Christians in high positions of current administration of President Mohammed Buhari,” the group says.
Commercial-sex-workers in Port Harcourt arms self with pepper spray against serial killers
Following the activities of serial killers targeting female victims in Port Harcourt, commercial-sex-workers in the state have decided to get pepper spray to fight against killer clients.
They noted that they were not ready to leave their job and would not be another victim of a serial killer.
Naija Buzz News reported how Gracious David West was arrested by the police in the state. He admitted that he killed 7 ladies already.
Senior Naval officer reportedly murdered in Kaduna
Report has it that a Naval Commodore in Jaji, Kaduna State, has been murdered and her corpse dumped in a well in a village near the Jaji Military Cantonment.
The dismembered body of the senior officer in a Ghana-must-go bag was discovered in the well following the arrest of two suspects trying to dispose her car in Zaria, Kaduna.
PDP is plotting to destabilise my government – Governor Obiano
Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State on Sunday alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is plotting to destabilise his government 2 years ahead of the 2021 governorship poll in the state.
“The next governorship in Anambra State will take place in 2021 and the next round of general election will not hold until four years’ time. Yet, the Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has started the electioneering for both the governorship and general elections,” the governor said in a statement issued by his Commission for Information and Public Enlightenment, C-Don Adinuba.
Malami, Lai, IGP, Emefiele, Magu, led FG delegate to the UK over $9.6billion judgement
Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation; Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture; Ibrahim Magu, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC); Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria; Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector General of Police; on Saturday left the country for the United Kingdom for a legal battle with Process and Industrial Developments Ltd.
The top government officials led a delegation to the UK ahead of the case on Thursday with P&ID. The UK firm is expected to push for the seizure of $9.6billion in Nigerian assets around the world.
The Nigerian Government however plans to tender before the court on Thursday evidences showing that the contract signed in 2010 was fraudulent.
