Sultan of Sokoto accuses politicians for religious crisis in Nigeria

Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, on Sunday at the St. David’s Cathedral Hall in Akure berated politicians over religious crisis in Nigeria.

The Sultan noted that politicians because of their selfish interests cause religious crisis in the country.

He noted that The Bible and Quran were not political books and does not belong to any political party.

He further urged Nigerians to shun politicians who politicize religion particularly for their selfish interests.

Alhaji Sa’ad stated this while speaking during an Inter-Religious Council meeting with other religious leaders in the Ondo capital.

Speaking about the demolition of a mosque by the Rivers State Government in Port-Harcourt, the Sultan noted that; the NIREC at the national level is already handling the issue for amicable resolution.
