P&ID founder, Michael Quinn, was my consultant, he stole my idea – TY Danjuma reveals

Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (rtd)

Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (rtd) has revealed that the Process and Industrial Development (P&ID) contract with the Federal Government of Nigeria was initially his idea.

Mr. Danjuma alleged that the founder of P&ID, Michael Quinn, was his consultant who stole his idea and applied for the contract himself.

The former Chief of Army Staff revealed that he allowed Quinn use his money and office space to work for him, but was however shocked to eventually find out that he had applied for the contract himself.

While speaking to Bloomberg Businessweek, he (TY Danjuma) said he was promised a share in P&ID in return for his initial investment.

TY Danjuma noted that he had spent $40million preparing for the project through his company Tita-Kuru Petrochemicals Limited. Danjuma noted that the money P&ID Ltd alleged to have spent was his own money.

He further revealed that he hadn’t heard from the company in years.

P&ID is the United Kingdom firm that recently secured a court order from a UK court to seize Nigeria’s assets worth $9.6billion following an abandoned gas flaring project.
