Senator Nnamani condemns gruesome killing of priest and pregnant woman by Fulani Herdsmen in Enugu

Former Governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, has vehemently condemned the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the South-East. He described as barbarous the gruesome killings of innocent Igbos by Fulani herdsmen.

Nnamani who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Cooperation and Integration in Africa stated this in his reaction to the recent spate of killings in Igboland.

The lawmaker who represents Enugu East Senatorial District while speaking in Abuja on Sunday said that the recent murder of Rev. Fr. Paul Offu and a pregnant woman, identified as Regina Mba, by suspected Fulani herdsmen, was condemnable.

“I condemn in totality the odious and dastardly acts and extend my heartfelt commiseration to the families of the victims,” Senator Nnamani said.

He further commended the South-East Governors for their prompt security meetings and the decision to reorganize and equip vigilante groups as forest guards.
