Okorocha’s probe is not a witch-hunt – Governor Ihedioha

Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State

Emeka Ihedioha, the Governor of Imo State, has stated that the probe of his predecessor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, is not a witch-hunt.

The governor reportedly said that he was waiting for an investigative report from a committee setup to probe the Okorocha administration. According to him the investigation was necessary in order to make the state great.

“The findings of the committee have not been made known to me. Obviously, this  is to make Imo State better now,” he stated in Yola, Adamawa State, when he paid a condolence visit to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri over his father’s death.

He also noted that he would ensure that his government implement all the recommendations of the committee as soon as it is ready.

Governor Ihedioha further noted that the report on the recovery of N1.2billion and properties by the state government emanated from the investigative panel.

“I don’t think I said all those things. Because I am not witch-hunting the former governor. There was a committee that we set up that is doing all those investigations,” the governor said
