Female suicide bombers kill 3, injures 8 in Mafa, Borno State

Boko Haram

On Tuesday, around 8:30pm in Borno State, North-East Nigeria, two female suicide bombers killed 3 persons and injured 8 others.

The suicide bombers apparently working for the Boko Haram terrorist group detonated the explosive they were carrying, in the midst of women who had gone to fetch firewood in Mafa, just few kilometres away from Maiduguri, the state capital.

Last week, we reported how Boko Haram searching for food invaded an Internally Displaced Persons camp (IDP) located few minutes away from the University of Maiduguri, killing two (an elderly woman and a child).

We also reported how the deadly terrorist group stormed a grave site and killed 60 mourners who had gone to bury someone.

Boko Haram has been using women and under-age children to launch suicide attacks across the North-East states. The terrorist group has ravaged the region, sacking people from their villages and killing thousands others.
