According to Sahara Reporters, Sowore was arrested by operatives of the secret service around 1.25am in his house in Lagos.

The AAC presidential candidate who is spearheading the #RevolutionNow protest against bad governance across the nation had on Friday raised an alarm over alleged plot to apprehend him ahead of his August 5 movement.

A friend just told me that I am under “heavy surveillance” from our security agencies” but I have responded by stating that we moved from surveillance on the people to ‘sovereignty of the people’ just get used to it, he revealed on twitter.

Earlier today, just few minutes after 1am (apparently before his phone was forcefully seized from him, he twitted);
