Dangote, Lawan, Fayemi, others to reconcile Oshiomhole and Governor Obaseki

The National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole

Report has it that Aliko Dangote, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Governor Kayode Fayemi, and the Presidency are working to resolve the crisis between the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, and Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.

According to Punch, Anslem Ojezua, the Edo State APC Chairman, revealed that a peace move was ongoing.

“The meeting is ongoing and I am aware of it, but not as reported. It started long before it was reported and the process is even ongoing. They have met before and are still meeting,” the APC chieftain told Punch.

Naija Buzz News had reported how the conflict between Oshiomhole and his successor, Obaseki, led to the problem at the Edo State House of Assembly.

We reported how 9 lawmakers loyal to the governor (Obaseki) elected the principal officers of the assembly in the absence of 15 others who are believed to be loyal to the APC National Chairman (Oshiomhole).

Obaseki alleges that Oshiomhole plan was to use the other 15 lawmakers to impeach him from office after they were inaugurated.

Obaseki is the only APC governor in the South-South. Chief John Oyegun had warned Oshiomhole against attacking him, saying that what the Edo Governor needs now is all necessary support.
