President Muhammadu Buhari has finally released his list of ministerial nominees.

Buhari’s list came 53 days after he was sworn-in for second term and about 5 months after he won the February 23 Presidential poll.

The President sent the list to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Tuesday.

Naija Buzz News had few days ago reported that the lawmakers had asked Buhari to submit his ministerial nominees for screening before they go on their annual leave.

Senator Godswill Akpabio, a former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, who lost his re-election bid following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), made the list.

Others who made the list are Festus Keyamo (SAN), ex-Benue governor George Akume, who also lost his bid to return to the senate; Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State; Rauf Aregbesola, Ex-Governor of Osun State; Gbemisola Saraki, Ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki’s sister.

Ex-Governor Akinwunmi Ambode however did not make the list. Solomon Dalung and 17 others were not returned as ministers.
