The Nigeria Police has confirmed the invitation of Mrs. Busola Dakolo and her husband, pupolar singer, Timi Dakolo, over the recent rape allegation against the founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.
The couple, who few weeks ago accused Pastor Fatoyinbo, of rape, were summouned to the police headquarter on Tuesday for interview.
It is however interesting to know that nothing has been said by the police of the man who was accused of rape.
The Dakolo’s had filed a petition to the police over the rape issue, but nothing is being done to investigate Pastor Fatoyinbo or at least the public does not know if there’s an investigation on going.
Naija Buzz News had published a report over how Busola alleged that Fatoyinbo raped her when she was still a teenager living with her parents in Kwara State.
We also reported how the COZA pastor step down over the allegation, following protests against him by Nigerians.
On Saturday, the Dakolo’s raised an alarm over the presence of armed men in front of their residence.
The police following the alarm confirmed that the Dakolo’s were being invited to the Force Headquarter for interrogation on July 23.
What is worrisome is how the police sent armed operatives to the residence of the Dokolo’s even without first inviting them over. If they had refused honouring the police invitation, then they could obtained a court order than forcefully take them.
It was however after the couple had raised an alarm over the presence of the security operatives that the Nigeria Police confirmed the Dakolo’s invitation to appear in Abuja over alleged criminal conspiracy, falsehood, mischief and threat to life.
