Kogi and Bayelsa APC Governorship Forms goes for N22.5million

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it would sell nomination forms for the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States at the rate of N22.5million.

Sales of the form would start today. The Expression of Interest Form is N2.5million, while the nomination form is N20million.

“In line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the Independent National Electoral Commission’s guidelines, the All Progressives Congress hereby releases this timetable and schedule of activities for the conduct of the 2019 governorship primary elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states,” Emma Ibediro, the APC National Organising Secretary, said while announcing the timetable for the governorship primaries in the two states.

In Kogi State, the incumbent Govenor, Yahaya Bello, will seek the APC ticket to return for second term.

Naija Buzz News reported that a son of late Prince Abubakar Audu, a former political heavyweight in Kogi State, expressed his interest to contest for the APC ticket with the incumbent governor.

The final day for the submission of the completed forms would be August 21, while screening of aspirants would start on August 22 and the primary election would hold on August 29.

The party further noted that there shall be no separate charges for deputy position. Also, female and physically challenged aspirants would get 50% discount.
