Alhaji Buba Galadima, a former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, was former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s first witness at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) today.
Galadima revealed that he was against President Buhari because of injustice in his administration, lack of inclusiveness and failure to secure the lives and properties of Nigerians.
He noted that it was wrong to say that he was against Buhari because he was not appointed minister in 2015.
Galadima was earlier asked by Chief Wole Olanipekun, Buhari’s lawyer, that he; “fell out with the 2nd respondent (Buhari) because he did not make you a minister in 2015.”
In his response Galadima said; “No. You should know that I fought all the previous governments since 1999 because of injustice.
“We made good promises to Nigerians, including justice, inclusiveness, and to secure the country, which he has failed to do.
“It has always being part of my characteristics to fight injustice.”
He further noted that he supported President Buhari in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 presidential elections, but was against him in 2019.
Responding to questions from Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), the lawyer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), noted that he is still a member of the APC because he hasn’t been sacked and the Chairman of the Reformed APC (RAPC).
“I’m still a member of APC. I have not been sacked. We are in court. I don’t want to be subjudice.
“I’m not a member of PDP, but we have a memorandum of understanding with the PDP to produce God-fearing, good and educated leader.”
