A coalition of human rights groups led by Dr. Princess Olufemi-Kayode is today protesting at the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), to demand the step aside of Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the senior pastor of the church, over a rape allegation against him.
Mrs. Busola Dakolo, the wife of musician, Timi Dakolo, had accused the pastor of rape when she was still a teenager with her parent in Niger State.
It is not the first time the pastor would be accused of rape. In 2013, someone came out and accused him of rape. There is also a recent revelation of a girl who he had sexual assault on and took her for abortion at an Indian clinic in Abuja. The girl eventually reportedly died after losing her kidney apparently following complications from the abortion.
According to Dakolo’s wife; the first rape against her was when Fatoyinbo visited them in Ilorin when she was 16.
“Immediately I opened the door, he just pushed me, he did not say anything, he did not utter any word, he just pushed me to one of the chairs in my living room,” Mrs Dakolo told YNaija.
“I saw him, he was removing his belt, he just said: ‘keep quiet, do what I want you to do and you will be fine,’” Mrs Dakolo said.
Pastor Fatoyinbo had since denied all the allegations against him, saying that he would challenge the matter against him in court.

Nigerian actress and producer, Stella Damasus, reveals how COZA Pastor raped her friend
“Some people have mastered the art of manipulation and brainwashing. It’s not easy to break free from that. God help and heal us.”
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in its reaction has promised to get to the root of the matter although it was yet to get details on the matter apart from what is read on social media.
“The Christian Association of Nigeria, as a body, condemns any case of rape in strong terms. It doesn’t matter who is involved. It is ungodly, wicked, and reprehensible. However, on the allegations against Pastor Abiodun Fatoyinbo, we have no details about the matter other than what we are reading on the social media. This is not reliable and credible evidence enough to jump into a conclusion,” CAN said in a statement issued by Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, the spokesman to CAN President.

“And then the police can see how to proceed from there,” he added.
The Nigerian Army allegedly deployed armed soldiers to COZA
Sagir Musa, the spokesman for the Nigerian Army, reveals that soldiers who were seen providing security at COZA church premise are there because the military is holding an inter-denominational service across the country today.
Members of the Department of State Services (DSS), Civil Defence and Police were seen around the church this morning.
