Tinubu meets Buhari in Saudi Arabia, says PDP still suffering from its colossal defeat at the election

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday met with President Muhammadu Buhari in Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Garba Shehu, an aide to President Buhari, reported Tinubu’s meeting with the president. He revealed that he met Buhari in Makkah at the breaking of Ramadan fast.

The presidential aide also revealed that the APC leader attacked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying that the former ruling party were busy making saucy and distractive statements following their colossal defeat at the 2019 general elections.

“Don’t blame them. They are handicapped by the traumatic feelings of the colossal loss of the election,” Tinubu allegedly said in Saudi Arabia.

“You should help them to manage the trauma,” he added.

Tinubu who thanked Buhari for recognizing June 12 as Democracy Day in honour of Chief MKO Abiola, further urged Nigerians to support the president ahead of May 29.

Other top Nigerians who were at the dinner in Saudi Arabia include, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, who is the leader of the Islamic caliphate in Nigeria; Dr. Najib Hussaini-Adamu, the Emir of Kazaure.
